TBN Signs Carriage Agreement with Comcast to Provide Cable Subscribers with High-Quality Faith and Family Channels
2009-03-01

Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest religious network and leading provider of faith and family programming, announced that it has signed an affiliation agreement with Comcast, the nation’s leading provider of entertainment, information and communication products and services, that allows TBN to pursue carriage directly with Comcast systems for their faith-and-family channels.

This agreement means that TBN has the right to enter into discussions with Comcast’s cable affiliates and the affiliates would have access to TBN’s flagship network, the top rated faith-and family channel in the nation, they will also be able to provide their subscribers with TBN’s four other digital faith channels: Smile of a Child, TBN’s kids’ network that features high quality cartoons, character-based shows and educational programs for children two to 12 years old; JCTV, the cutting-edge youth network packed with music videos and fast-moving programs for young adults aged 13-29; The Church Channel, TBN’s 24-hour network featuring multi-denominational church services; and TBN Enlace USA, America’s premier Spanish-language faith network, as well as high-definition and video-on-demand programming.

Paul Crouch Jr., TBN’s Vice President of Administration for TBN, “For over 35 years TBN has been blazing the trail for religious and faith-based broadcasting,” said Crouch. “This agreement has the outstanding potential of giving Comcast subscribers the broadest range of faith and family-friendly viewing options in the cable industry.”

Bob Higley, TBN’s Vice President for cable and satellite relations, said “TBN has consistently stayed on the cutting edge by adding and maintaining high-quality channels that appeal to a wide range of cable subscribers,” he said. “We’re proud to be providing Comcast affiliates the opportunity to bring their subscribers the best faith and family channels and programming available in any market.”
